28

So, August in my family is a rather big birthday month. You have already celebrated my Mama's on the 11th, mine on the 21st and the 28th has arrived, so it's time to celebrate the little brother.

It's his GOLDEN BIRTHDAY Y'ALL!

That's right, my baby brother, my belated 3rd birthday present is 28 flippin years old. Shut the front door. Where did time go?

Hey...remember when we looked like this?

We spent many years fighting over anything that we could.

We have grown closer as we have gotten older.

We don't always understand each other, but we can always count on each other.

Love Ya Brother
I hope today is a great one
Hugs from miles away

31

I often wonder if life will slow down, just for a few moments.

Here are some highlights since my last post 13 DAYS ago!

- Mama's Birthday-
As a last minute birthday gift my Mama flew to NJ! Sad for her, we were moving that weekend, but great for us as she was a HUGE help! I'd probably still be sitting in our old kitchen crying in the corner if she hadn't flew (literally) in to rescue me!

-Moving-
Yes, we are officially moved into our new joint and LOVING it! With massive amounts of help from my Mama and my Father-in-Law, of course! The living room, kitchen, dining room, guest bathroom, and master bedroom are basically done. Still working on the office, master bathroom, and spare bedroom. It also must be noted that my husband insists on calling the spare bedroom the 'Man Cave'. I'll let him live out the dream for a few months.

-Drama Drama-
In the process of moving out we apparently made a pit stop in Dramatown. Anyone that is bored and would like a 3 hour phone call is more than welcome to schedule an appointment with me, I'll give you all the deets. Maybe one day it will all shake out and I'll write a novel about it.

-Falling, Hard-
I haven't ran in over two weeks. Why? Well, it's about 30% packing, moving, etc. and 70% I fell and ate some sidewalk. Yep, Queen of Coordination right here y'all. Word to the wise, pick up your feet when running on uneven sidewalk. I was 2.5 miles into a 3.5 mile run when I was about to cross the street and BAM! I'm on the ground. Of course, the first thing that I did was check to make sure I didn't break my iPhone, cause that's super important, and then I made sure I still had all of my teeth, because my father would kill me if I messed up all those years of expensive dentistry! Anyway, my knee is finally not swollen and I think I'm healed up. Running will resume on Sunday!

-31-
Yep, I'm 31 now. Happy Birthday to me, just wish getting older was easier.

**Dad has been running, I have all the info and am thinking of a new way to keep track of it. Hopefully info on this soon.**

I Call Her Mama

Her plane lands in less than an hour and today is her BIRTHDAY!

Do we look alike?  I hope so, cause she is one classy lookin lady!

I'm not sure what you call your mother. Mom, Mommy, or my husband's favorite...Ma. I think I called her Mommy when I was younger, I'll say Mother if I'm upset, but she's mostly just my Mama.

I'd write more, but there really aren't enough words in the world to express how much she means to me. I am more than lucky to have her in my life. I am blessed to call her my best friend.

Love ya Mama!

By a Thread

I swear, I feel like I'm hanging on by a thread right now.

Let me preface this ... I am a lucky person.

I'm healthy, I'm loved, I'm blessed.

That being said, I have to believe that the last few months have been a test! Many of you know that we are moving on August 15th and when you live in one of the most densely populated cities in the US the logistics becomes a nightmare. I've moved a number of times in my life, mostly around The University of Tulsa campus, and all it took was my Dad, Brother and a pickup truck! Not so much the case here.

On top of the full time job, the part time job, and training for a half marathon - we have to pack. Also, it's safe to say that the relationship between us and the current (soon to be former!) landlords is horrific, at best. If you want the full story let me know, I don't believe I can post it online...as much as I might want to do that.

The bright light at the end of the tunnel is the 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 1,400 square foot beautiful apartment waiting for me just 2 miles northwest of our current location. Yes, my dear friends...we now have ample space for visitors! No more staying at expensive hotels, we will cut you a respectable deal. No worries!

I can't wait to get moved in and overwhelm everyone with pictures!

Here is your running update! I've been improving my speed quite a bit, a 10 minute mile doesn't nearly kill me anymore.  Dad is really increasing his distance quite a bit, but his speed is increasing too.  Let's see how this week goes...it's supposed to cooler in Jersey and I think it will just barely be over 100°F in Oklahoma! EEK!

New Jersey Running

August 6, 2012 - 3.1 miles - 29 minutes 18 seconds

Oklahoma Running
July 31, 2012 - 2.8 miles - 30 minutes 30 seconds
August 2, 2012 - 4.5 miles - 56 minutes 0 seconds
August 5, 2012 - 5.5 miles - 1 hour 1 minute 0 seconds

New Jersey Total Miles - 46.41
Oklahoma Total Miles - 48.55

I am getting beat and I don't like it!
